The Effects of Problem-solving Process and Learning Flow in Nursing Simulation on Clinical Competency of Nursing College Students

Abstract

Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of problem solving process and learning flow in nursing simulation on clinical compe- tency of nursing college students.
Methods: The subjects of this study were 117 nursing college the 4th students in K city. Data were analyzed with SPSS 29.0 program.
Results: The greatest influential variable of clinical competency was problem-solving process (¥â = 0.66, p < 0.001). Learning flow (¥â = 0.20, p = 0.006) in nursing simulation also had a significant effect. These factors explained for 65% of clinical competency of nursing college students.
Conclusions: It will be necessary to improve problem-solving process and learning flow in nursing simulation to increase clinical competency in simulation learning.
